La Garde Musical Walks 2026

Affiche des promenades musicales de La Garde 2026 - Songe et féerie

Dream and Enchantment

For the fifth edition, The La Garde Musical strolls invite the public to immerse themselves in a dreamlike universe where music, theatre and poetry blend together to celebrate the imagination.

Under the theme "Dream and Enchantment"this event offers a unique sensory and emotional experience, inspired by the enchanting worlds of A Midsummer Night's Dream from Shakespeare.

The musicians invite you to join them on two different musical walks through the grounds. One walk will guide you through the estate, while the other, more accessible, will remain around the stables, which will serve as the venue for a chamber music concert. At the end of the day, the full orchestra will present a grand symphonic concert featuring landmark works from the symphonic repertoire, conducted by the Greek conductor Ektoras Tartanis.

Musical strolls

Two musical journeys for a magical stroll

La Promenade à travers le domaine : sur les traces de Puck

An artistic stroll through the grounds of La Garde, punctuated by musical performances from chamber ensembles. Spectators will be guided by an actor portraying Puck, the mischievous elf of the A Midsummer Night's Dream, which will take them on a journey between dream and reality through poetic texts and a few surprises.

The Walk Around the Stables

For those who prefer a more relaxed experience, this walk offers a variety of musical performances in a peaceful setting with little walking, accessible to all.

Each walk is offered twice a day, allowing the public to create their own route.

The Grand Symphonic Concert: Dream and Enchantment

Conducted by Ektoras Tartanis, an internationally renowned Greek conductor, this concert invites you to explore the fantastic worlds of symphonic music.
Structured like a dreamlike odyssey, the musicians and conductor invite you to explore the depths of the imagination through major works of the symphonic repertoire.

The concert opens with "Entering the Dream," a gentle and poetic immersion where the first accents of Debussy (Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun) and the captivating opening of the A Midsummer Night's Dream Mendelssohn's work lays the foundations for a universe where reality blends with magic.
Then, the audience is drawn into "The World of Spirits," a fairy-tale kingdom where Mendelssohn's fairies dance alongside Ravel's tales (Mother Goose).
After the intermission, "The Deep Dream" reveals its shadows and mysteries: between the Nordic melancholy of Sibelius (The Bard), the tragic passion of Romeo and Juliet (Tchaikovsky) and Rimsky-Korsakov's Arabian Nights (Scheherazade), the orchestra displays the full richness of its colours.
Finally, the "Apotheosis" will set the hall ablaze with Stravinsky's "The Firebird," a flamboyant finale where the infernal dance gives way to a luminous resolution, like waking up in full light after a night of dreams.

An event not to be missed for lovers of music, theatre and dreams.

Let yourself be carried away by the magic of the Musical Walks of La Garde!
