LES MUSICIENS D’EUROPE

About us

Our story

In the summer of 1994, a concert was held in Belgium, bringing together musicians from various European countries. This first encounter was a great musical and human success, prompting the initiators to create a new kind of orchestra: an orchestra focused on the practice of music, calling for the overcoming of all divisions and promoting peace between the countries of Europe. Les Musiciens d'Europe were born.

The orchestra transcends all division – cultural, national, social, linguistic and generational – and is made up of experienced musicians from major national orchestras, professional teachers, conservatory students and high-level amateurs.

Les Promenades Musicales de La Garde

From Friday 22nd August to Sunday 24 August 2025

The orchestra offers musical walks for three days from Friday, August 22 to Sunday, August 24, 2025. Each day, the artistic project is divided into two main parts:

  • An educational symphonic concert based on the story “ Peter and the Wolf " by Sergei Prokofiev, conducted by conductor Annick Villanueva, followed by musical walks through La Garde estate. This experience combines chamber music, sculptures, and heritage. One of the tours takes children on a fun and musical treasure hunt.
  • A grand symphonic concert featuring the composer Grieg. The orchestra will bring to life the adventures of Peer Gynt, under the direction of music director Godeleine Catalan.

Come and spend an afternoon discovering this blend of music, theatre and sculpture, transporting you to a world of boundless art.
